What you are getting

Thirty-four pieces in food-grade stainless steel, with hanging loops on every long-handled tool: long tongs, a spatula, a fork, wide hollow-design tongs, a meat knife, two basting brushes, two types of grill brush, and a digital meat thermometer. BPA-free, dishwasher safe.

Ninety-five cents a piece

The cheapest on this shelf by a factor of three and a half. Home-Complete is next at $3.31, Amazon Basics at $4.19.

And a digital meat thermometer alone usually costs more than a third of this set’s total.

It makes the argument this whole shelf is about

“a set of heat resistant long-handled grill tools… ensures that you can cook your meat from a safe distance without worry of getting burned”

That is exactly right, and it is why length is the specification that matters most on a grill tool. The frustration is that Taimasi publishes no length at all — where XUDAKAIXIN gives 24 inches, GrillPro 15 and Home-Complete 13.5 to 14 piece by piece.

And it is the only listing here that says when to brush a grill

Two different types of bbq brushes for cleaning all kinds grill after it cooled down.

Whether to brush hot or cold is genuinely contested — the Weber Crafted grate listing elsewhere on this site says to preheat on high for 15 minutes and brush then. Taimasi says cooled. Either way, this is the only barbecue tool listing here that addresses cleaning at all, and two brushes means one for grates and one for grease.

Hanging loops on every tool

Which is what a 34-piece set needs. Amazon Basics and Home-Complete supply a bag and a case instead; Alpha Grillers locks its tongs.

What is not published

No lengths. No weight. No piece breakdown beyond the nine or so named. No steel grade — “premium food grade stainless steel” is not a designation, where GRILLHOGS publishes 18/0. No thermometer range. No warranty.

The questions that come in

Is thirty-four pieces useful or padding?

Some of each, and the useful part is better than the count suggests. The named items are nine or so: long tongs, a spatula, a fork, wide hollow-design tongs, a meat knife, two basting brushes, two types of grill brush and a digital meat thermometer. Three of those are things no other set on this shelf includes at all — the thermometer, and the grill brushes, which are what you clean with rather than cook with. The remaining two dozen pieces are not named, and on sets like this they are typically skewers and corn holders: genuinely usable, rarely used. At $0.95 a piece the padding costs you almost nothing; the question is only whether you have somewhere to keep it, which the hanging loops partly answer.

Should I brush the grill hot or cold?

It is genuinely contested, and Taimasi is the only barbecue tool listing on this shelf to take a position. It publishes brushes "for cleaning all kinds grill after it cooled down". The Weber Crafted cast iron grate listing elsewhere on this site says the opposite: "preheat grill on high for 15 minutes and brush grates with stainless steel grill brush". Both have logic. Hot turns residue to ash, which brushes off with no effort — which is why most grill makers recommend it. Cold is safer for the brush and for you, and it is the right moment for the degreasing brush rather than the grate brush. Two brush types is the reason Taimasi can say cooled: one of them is not for burnt-on residue.

How long are the tools?

The listing does not say, which is the frustration — because it makes the argument for length better than anyone else here. Taimasi publishes that "a set of heat resistant long-handled grill tools... ensures that you can cook your meat from a safe distance without worry of getting burned", and then gives no figure at all. The lengths published on this shelf: XUDAKAIXIN 24 in, GrillPro 15 in, Home-Complete 13.5 to 14 in piece by piece, GRILLHOGS 12 in. Six of the eleven listings publish nothing. "Long-handled" in a set at this price typically means 15 to 17 inches, which is adequate for a gas grill and a kettle. If reach is the reason you are buying, XUDAKAIXIN is the only listing that commits.
