What holds its heat,
and what still cuts after a year of use

Frying pans, cookware, kitchen knives, sharpening stones, chopping boards and charcoal barbecues — and the guards, seals, gloves and brushes that wear out behind them. Compared on what actually decides whether they work: the base thickness that stops a pan warping, the hardness a maker states for a blade, the coating limit printed in the manual rather than on the box, and whether the gasket will still be sold in three years. Priced on your own country's Amazon.

Pick the thing you are buying

34 families of devices, 18 of accessories and consumables. Each hub below compares one of them, with a plain answer to “what should I actually buy?” at the top — and the buying mistake that category invites.

Three things we will not do

  • Ranked on merit, not commission

Nothing here is ordered by what it pays. Where a €30 pan does the job of a €120 one, that is what the page says — and where the cheap option is a false economy because its base warps on the first strong ring, it says that instead.

  • Reported, not paraphrased

Base thickness against the coating brand printed on the box, core steel against the layer count of a Damascus pattern, the oven limit of a knob against that of the pot it closes, aperture and clearance against a steamer’s stated capacity — the specifications that decide whether a thing does its job, not the headline. Every figure names where it comes from, and a figure we could not source is left out rather than guessed. Stated figures — hardness in HRC, oven and coating limits, operating pressure — are reported from the manufacturer and never derived here.

  • Priced where you live

One button, fourteen Amazon stores. We send you to the same product on your own country’s Amazon, in your own currency — and where a model is not sold there, we say so instead of linking to a page that does not exist.

The tool we use ourselves

Chosen your tool? Now buy it at the right price.

Cookware sets, knife blocks and cast iron swing by thirty euros or more across the year, and the biggest "discounts" often land at prices the same model sold for six weeks earlier. UniverTrack tracks the real price history across retailers, spots fake reductions, and alerts you when it is genuinely the moment to buy.
