The pan that is on the hob most days, and the least considered · review
Blackmoor Home 16 cm (6.3 in) milk pan review
The cheapest pan in this hub and the only one that publishes its base thickness: a stated 3 mm (0.12 in) cast aluminum base, with a drip-free pouring rim.
What we would actually buy A small pan with a thick base, which is exactly the right priority. It will need replacing eventually, and it costs accordingly.
What you are getting
A 16 cm (6.3 in) milk pan with a stated 3 mm (0.12 in) cast aluminum base, a stone-effect nonstick surface, a drip-free pouring rim and a cool-touch handle.
Why the base figure matters here
More than in a frying pan. A saucepan holds liquid that sits still against hot metal, and thin bases scorch milk and sauces before you notice. Three millimeters of cast aluminum is a real buffer at this price.
The rim
A rolled pouring rim that does not dribble. It is the difference between pouring cocoa into a cup and wiping the outside of the pan afterwards, and it is the detail small pans most often get wrong.
The limits
Bakelite handle, so nothing about this pan goes into an oven, and no coating temperature is published. Keep it to medium heat and it will last well.

What we rate, and what we do not
Strengths
Publishes a base thickness — 3 mm (0.12 in) — which is the figure that matters most in a small pan
Coated, which suits milk and sauces where scorching is the risk
Pouring rim, so milk goes into a cup rather than down the side
Compromises
Bakelite handle: no oven
No stated temperature limit for the coating
A coated milk pan is a consumable, unlike an uncoated one

The questions that come in
Why does base thickness matter in a small pan?
Because a saucepan is where scorching happens: sauces and milk sit against the metal without moving. A thicker base buffers the ring and gives you a margin the thin ones do not.
Coated or uncoated for milk?
Coated is more forgiving and easier to clean. Uncoated lasts forever and needs more attention to heat. For milk specifically, coated is the easier life.
