What we would actually buy Solid wood and empty, which are the two things that matter. The unpublished slot count is the gap.
What you are getting
An empty angled knife block in solid acacia, sold without knives.
Solid rather than veneered
Acacia through the block rather than a veneer over composite board. It is heavier, it survives being knocked, and it will not delaminate near a sink.
What is not published
The slot count and the slot orientation. Both decide whether the block fits your knives and whether it drags their edges, and neither appears — worth checking the product images before ordering.
The maintenance nobody does
Turn it over occasionally, shake it out, brush the slots dry. Water never goes into a wooden block, because it does not come out.

The questions that come in
How do you clean a wooden block?
Empty it, turn it upside down and shake out the crumbs, wipe the slots with a dry brush, and let it dry fully. Never wash it out — water in a slot has nowhere to go.
Does an angled block hold knives better?
It presents handles at a more natural grabbing angle and takes slightly less depth on a worktop. The trade is a taller silhouette.
