A set is only cheap if you would have bought every piece in it · review
ZWILLING Simplify 5-piece review
The most expensive set here, and the one with the most thought in its lids: two strainer sizes built in, and a holder that hangs the lid on the pot rim instead of on the worktop.
What we would actually buy Fewer pieces, more thought in each. Whether that is worth the gap depends on how much you value not owning a colander.
What is in the box
Five pieces with integrated strainer lids, a lid holder that hangs the lid on the pot, silicone stay-cool handles, and a sandwich base with an aluminum core.
The lids, again
Two strainer sizes in the lid means one lid drains pasta and rice. Combined with the holder — the lid hangs on the rim rather than dripping onto the worktop — this is a set designed by someone who has actually cooked pasta.
What you are paying for
Detail rather than quantity. Five pieces against nine and eleven in the sets below, at a considerably higher price. The base construction is published and good; it is not the reason for the gap.
The gap in the specification
No oven figure. Silicone-sheathed handles nearly always carry one, and it is the number that decides whether these pots finish a dish in the oven.

Sandwich base with an aluminum core, published
Compromises
The most expensive set in this hub by a wide margin
Five pieces, so it equips less of a kitchen than the sets below it

The questions that come in
Why two strainer sizes?
A single hole size is either too big for rice or too small for pasta water to leave quickly. Two lets one lid do both jobs.
Is five pieces enough?
It covers the pots. You will still want a frying pan, and probably a sauté — neither is in the set.
