What we would actually buy Ambidextrous is rare and genuinely useful. If they will meet raw poultry, prefer a take-apart pair.
What you are getting
A 20 cm (7.9 in) pair of multi-purpose shears in rustproof special steel, precision ground, with glass-fiber reinforced non-slip handles suitable for either hand.
Ambidextrous
Rare, and worth seeking out if you are left-handed. Most shears assume a right hand in both the blade offset and the handle shape, and using them the other way round is genuinely worse.
The intended uses
Zwilling name herbs, packaging, plastic and card. That is honest about how kitchen shears are actually used — and it is also a warning: card and clamshells blunt an edge faster than anything in a fridge.
What is not stated
Whether they come apart. For a pair that will meet raw chicken, the take-apart designs elsewhere in this hub are the better answer.

The questions that come in
Why are most shears right-handed?
The blade offset and the handle shape both assume a hand. Left-handed users get a cut that wanders and a grip that pinches. Ambidextrous designs solve both, and they are uncommon.
Should the same pair cut packaging?
Cardboard and plastic clamshells blunt shears faster than any food. If these are your kitchen pair, buy a second pair for parcels — it is the cheapest way to keep the good ones sharp.
