What we would actually buy A sensibly composed set. The missing oven temperature is the figure to ask for before putting the plastic handles in one.
What is in the box
A 16 cm (6.3 in) saucepan, pots at 16, 20 and 24 cm (9.4 in) with glass lids, and a deep 24 cm (9.4 in) sauté. That is five pieces plus lids, and the composition is unusually practical.
Why the sauté matters
Most sets are three pots and two duplicated saucepans. This one includes the pan that browns meat and then holds a liter of sauce, which is the piece households notice missing.
The handles
Plastic, stated cool to touch, and no oven figure is published even though the set is stated oven safe. Treat a moderate oven as the sensible ceiling until the maker gives a number.
What to check against your hob
The 24 cm (9.4 in) pieces want a large ring. On a hob with one big burner and three small ones, plan which piece goes where.

The questions that come in
What is a deep sauté for?
Browning then simmering in the same pan: a risotto, a curry, anything that starts dry and ends wet. It is the piece most households buy separately after a set has disappointed them.
Are plastic handles a problem?
On the hob, no — they stay cool. In an oven they set the limit of the whole pot, and the figure is usually between 180 and 200 °C (392 °F). Here it is not published.
