KESSER 26 cm (10.2 in) cast iron grill pan review
A 26 cm (10.2 in) cast iron grill pan with a high rim, two pouring spouts and — unusually — a stainless chainmail scrubber in the box, which is exactly the tool bare iron needs.
What we would actually buy The entry price here, with the accessory the material needs already in the box.
What you are getting
A 26 cm (10.2 in) ribbed cast iron grill pan, pre-seasoned, with a high rim and two pouring spouts. The rim is the feature that separates a good grill pan from a frustrating one: ribbed pans spit, and a low wall puts that on the hob.
What ribs actually do
They print the marks people buy a grill pan for, and they hold food clear of its own juices. They also mean only the ridge tops touch the food, so the browning covers a fraction of what a flat pan would cover. That is the trade, and no grill pan escapes it.
The chainmail in the box
A stainless ring scrubber. It cleans stuck food off bare iron without stripping the seasoning, which detergent and a scourer both do. Including it is a small thing that shows the maker knows what the pan needs.
The honest indoor warning
At the temperature that makes proper marks, a cast iron grill pan smokes. Indoors that needs extraction, and it is the reason many of these end up outdoors on a barbecue.

The questions that come in
Why is a chainmail scrubber included?
Because bare cast iron needs one. It removes stuck food without stripping the polymerized layer that makes the surface release, which detergent and a scouring pad both do.
Can it be used on a barbecue?
The maker states gas barbecue, oven and charcoal grill as well as hobs. An all-iron pan has no handle limit, which is what makes that possible.
