WALDWERK 28 cm (11 in) with leather handle sleeve review
An uncoated stainless pan with a short metal handle and a removable real-leather sleeve, sold on the absence of coatings and plastics rather than on the presence of anything.
What we would actually buy A neat answer to the hot-handle problem. Just remember the sleeve is the part that cannot go in the oven.
What you are getting
A 28 cm (11 in) uncoated stainless pan with a deliberately short metal handle, and a removable real-leather sleeve that slides over it. The short handle is what lets the pan sit in a domestic oven; the sleeve is what lets you take it out.
The trade in that design
A metal handle in an oven is a metal handle at oven temperature. WALDWERK’s answer is a sleeve rather than a permanently insulated grip, which keeps the pan fully oven-capable at the cost of a part you have to remember. The sleeve itself is leather and belongs nowhere near the oven.
What the maker leads on
Absence: no PFAS, no plastic, no coating. That is a legitimate description of an uncoated stainless pan, and it is what such a pan is. It says nothing about how the pan conducts heat, which is the question the listing does not answer.
The figures that are missing
Oven limit, base construction and thickness. For an uncoated pan the base is the whole performance story, and none of it is published.

The questions that come in
Can the leather sleeve go in the oven?
No. It is leather, and it is removable precisely so the pan can go in the oven without it. The sleeve is what lets you take the hot metal handle out afterwards.
What does uncoated mean for cooking?
Nothing wears out, and food releases on heat and fat rather than on a surface. Heat the pan first, then add oil, then add dry food, then leave it until it releases by itself.
