What you are getting

Two extra-long griddle spatulas and scrapers in heavy-duty stainless steel, with heat-resistant plastic handles, rust resistant and dishwasher safe.

The page contradicts its own title

Title: Extra Long Griddle Spatula, Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Set of 2 Bullet 2: Blackstone brings you plastic long spatula for nonstick pans Bullet 3: The stainless steel construction imparts longevity and durability

Bullet 2 is a copy-paste from a different product line. The same thing happens on the VEVOR griddle plates elsewhere on this site, which say “stainless steel” in bullet 1 and “cast iron construction” in bullet 4.

The title and two of four bullets say steel. Read it as steel.

Two spatulas is the right number for a griddle

Which is what these are for, not a grill grate.

On a flat top you work with two hands: one spatula under the burger, one pressing down or folding onions. One spatula on a griddle is half a tool — which is why Anmarko also sells three on this shelf and why cooks on a flat top buy pairs.

Heat-resistant handles, named as such

Heat-resistant plastic handles to let you enjoy long cooking hours.

Which is the right concern on a griddle: you stand over it continuously, where a grill is a series of visits. Compare Amazon Basics’ steel handles, which conduct, and GrillPro’s PVC, which softens.

What is not published

No length, on a product called extra long — where XUDAKAIXIN publishes 24 in and GrillPro 15. No blade thickness, which Anmarko gives as 1/25 in. No steel grade. No warranty.

The questions that come in

Is it stainless steel or plastic?

Steel, on the weight of the evidence — but the page says both. The title reads "Extra Long Griddle Spatula, Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Set of 2". Bullet 3 reads "the stainless steel construction imparts longevity and durability". Bullet 2 reads "Blackstone brings you plastic long spatula for nonstick pans". That second bullet is a copy-paste from a different product line, and the same failure appears on the VEVOR griddle plates elsewhere on this site, which say "made from durable stainless steel" in bullet 1 and "the cast iron construction" in bullet 4. Two of the four statements here, including the title, say steel. Treat it as steel — and note that a plastic spatula could not serve as a griddle scraper, which bullet 2 implies in the same breath.

Why two spatulas?

Because a flat-top griddle is a two-handed tool, and that is what these are for. On a grill grate you turn things with tongs and one spatula. On a griddle you work differently: one spatula goes under the burger while the other presses down on it, or holds the bun, or folds the onions back over. A smash burger genuinely requires two implements. That is why Anmarko on this shelf sells three spatulas as a set and why cooks with flat tops buy pairs. And the second function matters as much — these are described as "griddle spatulas and scrapers", and a griddle cannot be cleaned without a scraper: you work the residue into the grease trough while the plate is still warm.

How long is "extra long"?

The listing does not say, which is the omission on a product named for it. Three listings on this shelf publish a length: XUDAKAIXIN at 24 inches, GrillPro at 15, and GRILLHOGS at 12 — with Home-Complete giving 13.5 to 14 inches piece by piece. Taimasi makes the argument without a figure: long handles let you cook "from a safe distance". On a griddle the reasoning differs slightly from a grill: a flat top radiates across its whole surface rather than up through bars, so reach matters for keeping your forearm off the plate rather than out of flames. Blackstone’s own 36-inch griddles are deep, so "extra long" plausibly means 18 inches or more. The page will not confirm it.
