Tefal

Thermo-Signal, and the one line about induction you must read

Tefal appears twelve times here, across coated pans, stainless pans, pressure cookers, knives and accessories.

What it is genuinely good at

Telling you when the pan is ready. The Thermo-Signal marker in the base of the grill pan and the woks changes appearance at cooking temperature, which removes the guesswork that ruins the first thing cooked in any pan.

The line that catches people out

Both the 26 cm (10.2 in) grill pan and the 28 cm (11 in) wok are stated not induction compatible, and both are made in France. If your hob is induction, those two are not for you — the stainless 28 cm (11 in) frying pan and the Ingenio range are.

The knives

The paring and santoku knives state ice-hardening to −120 °C (-184 °F) and German stainless, with a finger guard. That is a more specific claim than most kitchen-brand knives make, and it sits oddly beside the rest of the range.

The pressure cooker

Six liters, 18/10 stainless, and a stated tested life of thirty years. It is the longest durability claim in this catalog.
